Well, I married Geoff and became an Ashton and Carol married Erik to become a Ruffell. Now who have we in the photos below. On the left is my wedding photo and in Carol's, l to r, there is Phil, me, Erik, Carol and I think thats Eriks cousin, Bob.

.... and then look what happened.... meet my son Graham and Carols 2 boys, Jonathan and Richard

Where did he get that hat! Oh dear he's going to shoot me isn't he when he sees this. Don't worry Gray, I've got lots worse ....

Anyway, moving swiftly on.... to the first day at school....

and now onto Caterham

So what are the boys doing now. Well Gray is at Southampton studying Law, a course that seems to take an inordinate lot of time in studying the local hostelries and night life around town.
Richard is at the same place studying Marine Biology, I think. In fact him and Gray are sharing a house along with 4 others.
Jonathan is at Oxford studying Languages, although this year as part of the course he is away living in Italy.

And I'm going to take this opportunity to show my claim to fame.... I am a published author... here is the hardback version and if I might say still a good buy today... publisher, Crowood Press

Now as you can see our boys are all quite close in age and spent quite a bit of time together growing up

Carol and I and the boys used to go away a lot, first camping and then in our little touring caravan. Now as you can see, Carol got the easy job of putting up the tent and supervising the workforce whereas muggins here had to do all the hard stuff... recording it all for posterity. Ooh, I can hear her from here !!

And one last one of the boys as it was such a rare site... all dressed up. I think they were having a day at the races

And now on to Phil who married Alison, a Bamber. Aah he really does look like a baby brother here doesn't he !!

Here's Phil & Ali's children when they were younger, Christine, Michael and the baby is Andrew...

... and here are some more recent ones. Christine looking very chic and sophisticated at 12 although I know she won't thank me for that... she's at her happiest in her jeans on her horse. And the 2 boys, well looking just like the 2 boys!! Michael is a chip off the old block, can see just so much of Phil in him and Andrew.. well Andrew is into anything 'daring do' and sending Grandad greyer by the minute.

The big news on Mum and Dad is that last year (1999) they celebrated their 5oth Wedding Anniversary and so we all went out to New England for a bit of a do.... all of us including my cousin Roger and his partner Brenda
